Integrated Pest Management

Integrated Pest Management is the broad-based approach of controlling pests that uses both chemical and non-chemical practices. Our IPM services use pruning, soil care, early detection, and proper identification of host plant and disease/pest to treat the issue.

Pruning

One of the simplest definitions of pruning is removing specific sections of a tree or shrub in order to achieve a desired outcome. Proper pruning can be one of the most beneficial long term treatments for your trees and shrubs.

Root Zone Enhancement, Invigoration, and Soil Amendments

Root Enhancement/Invigoration and soil amendments are designed to repair damaged soils, identify potential subsurface structural issues, and reduce soil compaction, and correct deficiencies in macro and/or micro-nutrients.. This procedure is useful to prevent decline in aging trees, promote growth in younger trees, and aid establishment of newly planted trees.

Planting/Transplanting

Planting and Transplanting is a service that we are very proud to offer. We select the perfect species of plant for your outdoor living space based on your needs from our list of respectable growers. We hand dig, properly prepare the tree/shrub for entry, and nurture the newly planted specimen so it can flourish.

Stump Grinding

Stumps can be unsightly, attract wood-feeding insects, and provide a nuisance for your future outdoor landscaping plans. With our stump grinding removal process, we remove the obstruction with ease.

Structural Support Systems

(cabling, bracing, guying, and propping)

Supplemental support systems can assist in stabilizing weak unions or defects within the canopy. Knowing when, where, and what type should be left to a certified arborist. Improper installation can have adverse effects on the tree.

Tree Risk Assessment

Tree risk assessments can identify potential issues before they become major problems. Preventative tree care can save thousands of dollars in damage or unexpected removals. Our ISA TRAQ (tree risk assessment qualification) arborist is trained to make reasoned judgements and recommendations for mitigating the identified risk.

Tree Removals

Preservation is our primary focus, but sometimes trees have to be removed from the landscape. Removing a tree is one of the most hazardous aspects of arboriculture and needs to be performed by a trained, experienced, and qualified arborist.

Organic Material Recycling and Repurposing

We provide a variety of services with the wood we harvest such as:

- Wood Chips

- Firewood (unseasoned)

- Customized Unique Pieces

Mature Tree Preservation

Nature’s Canopy prides itself on being the primary caretaker of many of the large, mature trees in the surrounding areas. Technical preservation and risk mitigation of these “witness” trees should only be left to qualified and experienced certified arborists.
